FACE BOOK
ADVANTAGES &
DISADVANTAGES FOR CHILDREN
As parents,we want to protect our
children from all sorts of things like peer pressure, drugs and alcohol,
problems with other kids and school issues. Especially with all the things we
see on television, children beating up school mates on the bus, Internet
harassment and the list goes on and on
but mother can,t see
the children that how to use the face book ..facebook has many advantage & distage.
advantage
There are many advantages of allowing a child to have a Facebook account. For one, it encourages them to practice writing and reading skills. It also helps them become further acquainted with using the computer and today's technology. It can help children stay connected with their long-distance Grandma or a friend who moved to Africa. They can get homework advice and help from family and adult friends. They can keep up with the happenings of their cousin's lives
Facebook can beneficial for children who
move frequently, such as children in military families. The article "15
Tips for Raising Military Brats" recommends parents allow teens and
older children to have Facebook accounts. But fcebook also
has disadvantag
Disadvantage
However, there many disadvantages as
well. One big negative of Facebook is that it does create a safety risk.
Children could encourater
child predators, as has already happened to teens and children. Kids on
Facebook could also be exposed to foul language, inappropriate adult talk and
pictures, and R-rated content. Another
negative impact will be on their health. There is a very high chance that
excessive use of Fb leads to the users becoming
obese. They would be sitting most of the time in front of the computer, eating
snacks and without any physical activities. And, over a period of time
childrens are going to accumulate all the extra poun .In
addition, they could become the victim of cyber-bullying. (They themselves could
also become cyber bullies or engage in cyber bullying. Another negative, is
that it take away time from other activities. They may lose interest in sports,
reading books, or even just playing outside. This could contribute to childhood
obesity. It could even damag
their "real life" social skills, as they spend most of their time
socializing online.so
Unfortunately we cannot watch out for our
kids all the time. Besides, we all need an outlet. Someone to vent to, talk
things over with and get advice from. In my opinion, it's too much information.
It's nice to know what's going on, but we can't change everything about our
children. They are developing their own personalities, opinions, morals and
values, just as we did. Give them that space to do so.
